HOW MUCH DO I NEED?
A cubic yard of soil is the amount of soil that will fit into a space measuring 1 yard x 1 yard x 1 yard or 3 feet x 3 feet x 3 feet.
A cubic yard will fill approximately 5 wheelbarrows and will cover an area approximately 10 feet x 10 feet x 3 inches deep.
The average bag of soil is 25-30 litres. There are approximately 765 litres in one cubic yard. So, there are about 25-30 bags of soil in one cubic yard.
